A guy left all of us wanna be romantics in shame after giving to his wife the corniest, yet most adorable Valentine’s gift ever. He decorated the couple’s bedroom with 7000 sticky notes of pure love.
Of course, epic romantic gestures have been performed before. Right off the top of my head the first on my list could be Johnny Cash proposing on-stage to a shell-shocked June Carter.
Or what about that guy that gave his girlfriend 54 oysters each one packed with a pearl. And we all remember Khloe Kardashian buying Lamar Odom a Rolls Royce for winning the NBA Championship in 2010… Of course we do.
Films have also showed us so many larger-than-life romantic moments so sweet that we could easily get diabetes. Like the infamous boombox serenade John Cusack gives Ione Skye in Say Anything or that decade long diary Ryan Gosling’s character made for his wife in Nick Cassavetes’ The Notebook.
But then there’s Jason Brinley.
While we’re still bragging about that lousy and overcooked candlelight dinner we gave our significant other for an anniversary like a decade ago, Jason Brinley from Florence South Carolina stepped up the gifting game and ruined the party for basically every guy on the planet. Jason filled their bedroom with more than 7000 hand-written sticky posts arranged in 8-bit patterns.
God damn you Jason! He even threw into the mix a printed T-shirt just for kicks.
He pimped up each wall thematically, with sugary titles such as “the language of love”, “memories” and “romantic quotes and lyrics”. Can Trump outlaw this kind of stuff already?
His head over heels wife Jennifer posted the photograph of this love shrine on reddit, and the romantic gesture gathered almost 6k up-votes and over 500 comments.
I do have a question for you dear Cassanova… how are you going to top this next year?
