These gorgeous porcelain bowls were designed to look like splashes

Here’s an excuse to go shopping for your kitchen. Istanbul-born artist Aylin Bilgiç is no stranger to ceramics. Mugs, plates, bowls, you name it, she’s probably designed it. But it wasn’t until recently that one of her creations caught our attention, because they have the optical illusion of liquid caught mid-splash.

These ceramic bowls may be accented with gold at the rim, but their true sophistication is in their shape and form. Simply put, they look alive, and give the impression of suspended matter.
