Get free flights to New Zealand, but only if you agree to a job interview

Excellent, two things we really need: a trip to one of the most beautiful countries in the world. And also, a job.

The city of Wellington in New Zealand is looking to give out free flights – on airplanes, not on Lord of the Rings eagles – but with one catch. You have to commit to a pre-arranged job interview.

The program, called Looksee Wellington, hopes to get tech experts around the world to work with local companies in order to boost the Kiwi tech scene.

It will set up free week-long trips, which include free accommodations and tours around the city, to 100 software developers, creative directors, digital producers, and product managers, looking to make Wellington their new home. At the end of the week, lucky applicants will be hired.

If you’re looking to apply, you can create a profile on the LookSee website. Wellington’s leading tech firms will then nominate their favourite candidates, with the top nominees getting the invitation to fly to Wellington.

Submission of resumes is open until March 20. Interviews will then take place from May 8 to 11.
