Satisfying food fix of the day: marshmallows blooming in hot chocolate

In order to get ready for your Northern Hemisphere winter, there is something you MUST see.

Dominique Ansel, the same New York pastry chef who invented cronuts (a croissant-doughnut pastry) has just come up with a new, soothing wintery treat.

He has just rocked his fans with a blooming marshmallow. Basically, flower shaped marshmallowy goodness is placed into your hot chocolate and you can literally watch the flower blossom. Definitely super cute.

Ansel gives us some pretty serious Instagram envy. His page is filled with delicious-looking sugary treats which I’m sure we could all get our heads (or mouths) around.

These sweets are available at Ansel’s New York, London, and Tokyo bakeries.
