Sabre Norris is an 11-year-old grommet who is about to take over the whole damn world after her appearance on Ellen racked up 15 million views and counting.
She first made her fame when national treasure, Karl Stefanovic, interviewed her on the Today show during the Sydney International Women’s pro.
The little Aussie legend told Today that her dad was an Olympic bronze medalist in swimming “but now he’s um … pretty fat”.
Sabre was the youngest surfer in the competition, and her mad skillz and irrepressible personality have seen her rise to fame across the pond.
So much so that she was invited onto Ellen, and let me tell you this, she did not disappoint.
When Ellen asked her why she didn’t want to follow in her father’s footsteps, she simply replied,
“It’s just really boring, you just watch a line, it’s just … not fun,” she said.
“If I want to be a swimmer [like dad], I don’t have to do any jobs, but if I want to be a surfer I’ve got to do this gnarly list of jobs,” Sabre said of her father’s request.
She also said her lifelong dream was to go to Las Vegas because “there must be a buffet in every single hotel”.
“Like, you can get Krispy Kreme doughnuts for breakfast and lava cake for breakfast and crab legs for breakfast,” she said.
“When I win a world title and I’m rich, I’m gonna go there to celebrate and I’m gonna eat whatever I want for breakfast, lunch and dinner.”
So obviously she freaked out when DeGeneres gave her tix to Las Vegas, 500 dollarydoos in spending money AND hooked her up to go see Justin Bieber in Sydney.
