Melbourne is getting its VERY OWN Banksy exhibition

Apparently, the special scattering of Banksy artworks throughout Melbourne (which can be found in places like Prahran’s infamous Revolver Upstairs) just wasn’t enough.

Now there’s the aptly titled Art of Banksy exhibition opening at The Paddock in Melbourne’s Federation Square on October 7th until January 22nd.

Curated by the artist’s one-time agent Steve Lazarides, roughly 80 works (including Girl with Balloon, Flag Wall, and Laugh Now) will be on display – some of which are owned by private collectors.

“Never will you be able to see this amount of work in one place again,” said Lazarides. “Once the show is over, the artwork will dissipate back to the other 40 collectors around the world and the likelihood of them being brought together again in the future is very slim.”

The mayor of Melbourne, Robert Doyle, has welcomed the exhibition – calling it a “massive coup” for the city.

Tickets are priced from AUS$30 (US$22) and are sure to move fast. Don’t miss out!
