Crazy Hair Day is just around the corner. So, we’ve decided to put together some of the quirkiest hairdos ideas for parents to show off their kid’s wacky side!
For those who have never heard of the Crazy Hair Day, it’s one of the most exciting annual events in Australia.
Once a year, Aussie kids are encouraged to wear their craziest hair designs to school. Parents use hair gels, hair dyes, glitters, and funky hair accessories to create these crazy ‘dos. Some would even use toys, like LEGO blocks, to style their hair.
From day care centers to universities, the event is open to all centres of learning. Whoever wants to take part in the Crazy Hair Day celebration just need to apply online. Money raised at the event will be donated to the state’s Cystic Fibrosis organisation.
In truth, Crazy Hair Day is not only held for kids to flaunt their eccentric hairdos. Instead, the crazy fundraising event aims to raise awareness about Cystic Fibrosis (CF).
CF is a genetic disorder that affects the patient’s lungs, pancreas, and reproductive system. It’s also one of the most common life-threatening medical condition affecting young Australians.
Sadly, there is no cure for the inherited disease as of today.
This year Crazy Hair Day will be held on Friday, July 29. You can check out the Crazy Hair website to find out more.
If you want to help the people that are struggling with CF, you can also contact the Cystic Fibrosis Federation here.
