Searching for a new beverage that whets your sense of morbid curiosity? Yeah, you might want to come down to Big Mouth St Kilda for a taste of Baron Samedi Spiced.
Named after the Loa of the dead in Haitian Voodoo – the top-hat wearing Baron Samedi – this is a spirit with soul, concocted from a blend of Caribbean column-still rum and traditional Jamaican pot-still rum.
And the best place to come out of the shadows for a taste is Big Mouth, with Baron Samedi Spiced-inspired exclusive cocktails every night throughout June and July.
And on Sunday, July 3 and Sunday July 10, you can get down to the St Kilda icon for a Baron Samedi Spiced sampling session between 5 and 8pm.
The whole venue will be getting into the Carribean spirit, with the Big Mouth gang going all out on Baron-style top hats and skull make-up, ready to charm you in true Samedi style.
It’s the perfect meeting really – a new drink inspired by a Loa with the ability to resurrect the dead, coming to life in a bar that had previous lives as a wax museum, ball room, punk bar and tea shop!
We’ll see you there, lurking in the dark, sipping on a Baron Samedi Spiced or two.
Enjoy your night, and remember to drink responsibly!
