Quite literally, a toy for the big boys. In November 2013, brothers John and Geof Bitmead of Attitude Autos built an adult sized version of a Little Tikes toy car. Now it can be yours for the low, low price of £21,500, or about $33,270.
The modified Daewoo Matiz, which we previously featured last year, comes complete with headlights, mirrors, an airbag, and just like its toy counterpart, doesn’t have windows too. The eye-catching second-hand coupe can also hit speeds of up to 70mph and only has 5,000 miles on the clock through two years of use.
According to Geof, though the model has proven it’s quite the head-turner when they drive it around town (especially when they take it to charity events), it hasn’t translated to revenues for the company.
‘We were hoping it would be out on a regular basis, create some revenue and recoup the money used to build it’, he said. ‘But in real life it ended up going out four or five times in two years. So we thought we might as well sell it and if anyone’s interested in buying it that will bring back some money for us’.
Anyone care to let me borrow $33,270?
