It’s just like having a real cat, minus the grumpiness. In Japan, a local housewife creates bags that you’d easily mistake for a living, breathing feline.
Pico, the artist behind the collection, makes each item by hand, first putting together a white cat (again, not a real one) then air-brushing the colours with acrylic paint. She became famous last month when a photo of one of her bags went viral on Twitter, receiving thousands of retweets and favorites – and probably thousands more ‘oohs’ and ‘awws’.
And how much would one of these exquisite bags cost? A three-color tabby cat was sold on ‘Yahoo! Auction Japan’ for $700! So I guess it’s back to those jerks real cats for us then.
