If famous characters revealed their true identities

We love illustrator Alex Solis’ work so much, we’ve featured him PLENTY of times before (here, here, here, here, here, and here). Now he’s back with another series, this time depicting the surprising identities of pop culture characters!

Called ‘Icons Unmasked’, the series shows famous film, TV, and comic book characters taking off their masks (or heads, actually) to reveal someone else inside: another pop culture character! For instance, Grumpy Cat is actually Garfield in a costume, Elsa gets her powers from Sub-Zero, and Kermit is actually a human hand (what a surprise!)

It’s a hilarious project that pokes fun at the names and powers coincidentally shared by different, totally unrelated characters. See the rest of the series over on Solis’ Instagram
