Man tries to clean up graffiti, ends up becoming graffiti!

In Paris, local street artist Combo – also known as Culture Kidnapper – found one of his works being painted over by a guy from the anti-graffiti brigade. So what did he do for revenge? He turned the guy into art!

The original mural depicts Donald Duck’s mischievous nephews Huey, Louie, and Dewey spray painting a wall with a phrase that roughly translates to: ‘I hate the start of the school year, but I love the out’. While the artwork was being painted over, Combo took a photo of the unsuspecting cleaning guy and later on painted him on the wall.

The result is an artwork that stages a cleverly subtle protest to the city’s anti-graffiti policies. Genius! You can find out more about Combo and his work here.
