These are the hilarious lies children were told by their parents

Oh, the joys of parenting and being able to tell your beloved children anything at all and have them believe you! On Reddit a few weeks back, users participated in a discussion entitled ‘Lies Parents Tell Their Children’ where people told of the whopper lies their parents told to make them do things, make them stop crying, or make them behave their best. Of course the responses were pure gold.

So Abby Heugel of 22 Words compiled the best of those responses and placed them with fitting images to make them even more entertaining.

I still can’t get over this one, though: ‘I told both of my kids that the ice cream truck was the “music truck.” It’s purpose was to drive around and cheer up all the sad people’. Classic!
