Artists respond to the heartbreaking death of the 3-year-old drowned Syrian boy

Three-year-old Aylan Kurdi and his 5-year-old brother Galip were Syrian refugees who made worldwide news yesterday for all the wrong reasons. While trying to escape Syria with their family, both young boys drowned just off the coast of the Greek island of Kos.

A photograph of both boys on the shore made a powerful impact around the world and prompted an outpouring of grief. And artists from all over the globe shared their touching responses on social media.
