Find your inner peace by breaking stuff in this rage room

Over at the Rage Room in Toronto, visitors get treated to a soothing experience like no other. No, I’m not talking about meditation. I’m talking about taking a bat and smashing stuff.

For $20, guests get to dress up in protective armour, pick a weapon of their choice, choose a theme song, and break five delicate ceramic plates, all for the sake of inner peace. And for an additional cost, they can even include tables, chairs, wine glasses, and everyone’s most despised household item, an alarm clock.

According to co-founder Timothy Cheung, the business was inspired by a similar – not to mention controversial – establishment in Serbia. He says that in a fast-moving city like Toronto, residents could sure let off some steam, but in a safe, controlled environment.

‘You’re told all your life not to break things. The Rage Room goes against it. It can’t help but be cathartic’.
