Zookeepers everywhere are recreating the raptor squad with real animals

While we’re all still dreaming of one day getting our own raptor squad, zookeepers around the world already have their own, albeit less extinct.

In one scene from Jurassic World, Chris Pratt’s character Owen Brady plays dinosaur whisperer just as his raptors begin to pounce on an employee. He raises his arms, instructing his pets to behave and stand down. And they do (obviously, because we wouldn’t have a movie if they fought back and ate him.)

Inspired by Brady’s handling of man-eating giant lizards, zookeepers are re-enacting the scene, but this time with otters, penguins, kangaroos, and quokkas. It’s not as action-packed as having a raptor squad (save maybe for the tiger and rhino zookeepers), but it’s definitely cuter and doable!
