One Twitter account shames restaurants that serve food on anything but plates

Some restaurants have become too cool for school. They serve your appetizers, entrees and desserts on slabs of concrete, wooden planks, glass tiles, and even logs (oh, they do). Some restaurants don’t even own plates or bowls or any of the traditional serveware. And people everywhere have had enough!

A new Twitter account named @WeWantPlates has been created by ‘photographer and soon-to-be-redundant online content editor’ Ross McGinnes. The aim of the Twitter handle is to crusade against serving food on ‘bits of wood and roof tiles. Chips in little buckets, flowerpots and jam-jar drinks can do one too’.

I never gave this any thought but just looking at the absurdity of these serving ‘plates’, someone’s got to put a stop to this insanity. And quickly!
