Artist questions the boundaries of beauty by bathing models in sweets

Under normal circumstances, sweets are used to portray sensuality. Sometimes it’ll be chocolate dripping down a woman’s leg, other times it’ll be whipped cream sitting precariously on her bountiful bosoms. Keith Allen Phillips’ strange photo series, however, is not what you’d consider ‘under normal circumstances’.

In the series, Phillips questions and mocks our infatuation with sweets by applying too much everything. Instead of putting a dab of icing, he generously spreads it on his model, making her look more like a cake than a human. In another image, sticks of Cheetos mix with chocolate show us how disgusting excessive amounts of food on the human body can be.

You can see more photos on Phillips’ website.
