Illustrator and mother Mica Angela Hendricks did not expect her daughter to turn her own ‘mommy words’ against her when she bought a new sketchbook. Hendricks’ daughter Myla said to her mother: ‘If you can’t share, we’ll have to take it away!’

In the face of such powerful logic, Hendricks had to give in. Despite expectations the results were these amazingly quirky, weird yet cute drawings. The impromptu mother-daughter art tag-team caused a storm recently on social media as readers showed the appreciation for Myla completing her mother’s illustrated faces with her own creations.

Perhaps there’s a lesson to be learned here, more artists should seek their child’s input. Having said this, Mica Hendricks’ illustration is still sublime even when her daughter’s creativity is not involved. Check out more of her work at her website.
