Stacks of laser-cut paper are intricately arranged to form these stained-glass windows

In 2012, we featured some awesome paper stained-glass window designs from artist Eric Standley. And just when we thought his artworks couldn’t get more complex and mesmerizing, he shows up two years later with these!

The Virginia-based artist improves upon his previous creations by adding more geometric shapes and patterns – typically found in Gothic and Islamic ornamentation. What might look like stained glass from afar, are actually a hundred sheets of paper meticulously stacked together to form the stunning pieces. One can only imagine the number of hours it took to make these things!

You can see more of Standley’s works on his website.
