Is it just us, or are vices becoming something to aim for? First, we found that drinking boosts immunity and that having a potty mouth is good for health. Now researchers from NYU and Cornell are suggesting that casual sex too, might do wonders for one too.

Published in the Social Psychology and Personality Science journal, the findings were based on a study done on NYU students, who were asked to keep a weekly diary over 12 weeks of casual sex encounters. The researchers found that socio-sexually unrestricted students had higher levels of well-being, less stress and greater overall emotional health after casual sex. Still, it matters only if you’re so inclined — the researchers cautioned that the benefits only applied as long as seeking casual sex is congruent with the personality tendencies of this person.
