Kid doodles on dad’s passport on holiday and gets him stranded abroad!

Well, maybe not. This incredible story hasn’t stopped popping up on our feeds for the past few days: a four-year-old Chinese son apparently decided to get artistic with his dad’s passport while they were on holiday in South Korea, drawing pouty lips, anime eyes and lots and lots of hair on his photo — and getting his poor dad stranded overseas as a result.

Sadly, we’ve just realised this is likely to be a hoax. Plus, a Chinese Embassy official in Seoul reportedly said nobody from South Korea’s immigration has prevented anyone from traveling due to defaced travel documents. Still, what a cool story.
