The poignant cartoons of Pawel Kuczynski

Take a look at these illustrations. Now take another look. The images by Pawel Kuczynski are delightfully intricate in their meaning, so much so that they keep giving every time you look. While the polish artist’s style remains the same, his messages are as diverse as they are powerful.

His illustrations comment on everything from the institutionalised deception on the part of governments, to the use of social media as a facade to hide from the real world behind.

In 2005, Kuczynski won the Eryk prize from the Association of Polish Cartoonists for his satirical illustrations, and we can see why!
