The Vienna Vegetable Orchestra shows us all that it’s okay to play with food

What, fully functioning music instruments made out of vegetables? And a vegetable orchestra making sweet, juicy sounds out of what’s essentially a salad buffet? Yep. The Vegetable Orchestra is formed by an ensemble of people from varied backgrounds, ranging from the obvious (musicians) to the not so obvious (writers), who use instruments made from fresh raw vegetables.

Think carrot marimba, eggplant clap and pumpkin drum — in fact, there’s even a leek zucchini vibrator (it’s less dirty than you’d think). Even better: everyone in the audience gets a bowl of vegetable soup when the concert ends. How apt.
