Donate your frequent flyer points, fly a stranger out to meet a terminally ill loved one
The Extra Mile’s mission it simple. They collect frequent flyer miles from people who don’t need them, and then give them to those who ‘desperately do, to visit terminally ill loved ones with cancer’. This brand new non-profit was founded by Matt Dimmer, whose father Peter died of pancreatic cancer. While Dimmer and his wife had the luxury of visiting Peter during his illness, many aren’t.
The first recipient of The Extra Mile was JJ Rolle who connected with his terminally ill father in Atlanta, through donated air miles and funding.
