Here’s the first glimpse of The Dark Lord statue hoping to be erected at the Oklahoma Statehouse

Separation of church and State? Hmm. After the state of Oklahoma installed a monument of the Ten Commandments outside the Capitol in 2012, an Indiegogo campaign was launched by the Satanic Temple to erect a monument ‘glorifying the Dark Lord’ Baphomet. No joke. A $20,000 seemed lofty but at the end of the campaign, almost $30,000 had been raised to create a sculpture to go nicely next on the front lawn of the Oklahoma Statehouse.

State Representative Mike Ritze paid for the statue (the Ten Commandments one) with his own money, ‘and therefore it was considered a donation and OK to place on government property. Following that line of reasoning, the Satanic Temple submitted a formal application for their monument’.

Dear Baphomet, please let this come to fruition!
