Best mum in the world bakes up scarily realistic yellow reticulated python of a sponge cake

Wow, a cool baker mum in England actually overcame her phobia of snakes to bake a smashingly realistic cake replica of a yellow reticulated python — Amelanistic Burmese, to be exact — for her six-year-old daughter’s birthday some time back.

The magical creation was carved by Francesca Pitcher out of six sponge cakes and took 12 hours of decoration with white chocolate fondant and dye. The guests apparently fought over the honor of eating the jewelly snake head — who wouldn’t?
