The breathtaking places where people have gone to die

Death Wooed Us is a project by Donna J. Wan, showing breathtaking images of where people may have gone to commit suicide along the California coast. The work ‘delves deeper into [Donna’s] own story with an intimate, even haunting, look at gorgeous locations where people have committed suicide’.

Wan says this is her most personal work yet because she’s had to share things about herself and background in undertaking the project (she suffered from postpartum depression). It’s definitely a stark contrast – the beauty of these places and then the darkness of suicide that echoes around.
