Being away from home doesn’t mean your laser pointer torture sessions with your cat has to stop. Introducing the ‘Kittyo’, a device that lets you interact with your cat from afar.

Using the Kittyo app for iOS and Android, you can use the coffee maker-shaped device to speak to your cat, give out treats, and record videos (which the entire internet will watch eventually.) But the coolest aspect of this gizmo is that it can shoot a laser beam controlled from your smartphone, giving you a chance to play with your feline friend anytime, anywhere. It also attaches itself to walls and shelves using clamps, because you know, cats love knocking over devices that shoot those elusive lasers.

Just a few days old on Kickstarter, the project has already reached $179,596 in funding – hitting their funding goal of $30,000 within 36 minutes! As of writing, Kittyo is still available to backers for $119 (additional $25 for shipping outside the US.) The first batch of Kittyo devices are set to be delivered in November of this year.
