CATable: a table that doubles as a cat playground

Can’t bear parting with your cat while you slave away at work? Well then, introducing the ‘CATable’, a table that doubles as a feline playground. With this table, you can work while your cat sneaks in and out of the table’s tunnels.

Designer Ruan Hao of Hong Kong-based architectural firm LYCS says the piece of furniture will be irresistible to cats. ‘Their curiosity is greatly satisfied through repetitively exploring the unknown path behind that hole,’ he explains. ‘It is a table for us, and a paradise for cats’.

The CATable was recently unveiled at this year’s Salone Internazionale del Mobile in Milan earlier this month. There’s no news yet if they have plans of selling it. Meanwhile, we’ll just have to make do with cardboard boxes.
