Real life handbags that look like cartoons

2D or not 2D, that is the question! Everyone on the street will be doing a double take when you carry around these cartoon-inspired bags created by Taipei-based design duo, Rika Lin and Chay Su. The bags, called ‘JumpFromPaper’, are designed to look like bold and colourful 2D drawings that have come to life.

Their website recalls the story on how this quirky idea came to be: ‘One cozy afternoon, the two girls were chatting, when they got to sketching their dream designer bag. A surprising idea popped up – “How amazing it would be if a two-dimensional hand-drawn illustration could come to life as a real bag!” They explored every possibility, rendering fantasy handbags in perspective, and giving birth to JumpFromPaper™’.

‘JumpFromPaper’ items can be purchased from their website.
