These murals look beautiful but the meaning behind them and even the words displayed with each one, are anything but. Each of these murals tells a sad tale of what homeless youth have gone through in London, from family members passing away to self harm and abuse. This collection of murals is part of Street Stories, ‘the brainchild of Depaul charity in the United Kingdom and the creative agency Publicis London‘.
This project is aimed at telling the real stories of homeless youth living on the streets in East London and ‘people are encouraged to get involved by visiting the website and buying a section of the digital wall, which will result in that part of the digital wall getting ‘cleaned’. People who buy a section of the digital wall will also receive a limited edition screen-print of the artwork by the artist.
