Polite Aussie construction workers shout words of empowerment to women

In this video, Australian construction workers scream to random women on the street empowering statements like, ‘I appreciate your appearance as just one aspect of who you are!’ and ‘I’d like to show you the respect you deserve!’ And the topping on the cake: ‘You know what I’d like to see? A society in which the objectification of women makes way for gender-neutral interaction free from assumptions and expectations!’

Shocking right? What happened to the stereotypical construction worker with harassing stares and violating whistles? Apparently, this is all part of Snickers’ ‘You’re not you when you’re hungry’ campaign, wherein they partnered up with Clemenger BBDO to create the hilarious stereotype-breaking video.

Of course, some didn’t find the video funny at all, saying that this portrays men as generally sexist and rude. And that eating a Snickers would bring them back to their normal appalling behaviour towards women.
