Getting a tattoo is a lifelong commitment (like marriage, but lasts longer.) That’s why before getting inked, people ask themselves the question: ‘What would it look like when I’m old?’ (also like marriage.) Reddit user ‘clevknife’ answers this question with photos he recently uploaded of tattooed senior citizens.

Honestly, art on aging skin doesn’t look too shabby. While most of us would imagine stretched out, sagging tattoos, these elders show us that tats still look sharp and really badass. If you stay in great shape and stay out of the sun to prevent the colours from washing out, your tattoo will live a regret-free life.
