The only possessions of LA’s homeless population

Los Angeles isn’t all glitz and glamour. In fact, LA’s Skid Row neighbourhood houses one of the largest homeless populations in the United States. Vice contributor John Kilar went down to Skid Row and documented ‘the many varied possessions of the residents’ and explored ‘how they express their right to ownership’. Some own dogs, wheelchairs, new shoes, and luggage full of clothing, while others live with only a Bible, shopping cart, radio, and other simple objects.
