After French photographer Jolipunk was refused a picture while on his travels, it made him ‘think about his role as a photographer in today’s world, and he realized that many of his peers tend to exoticize and objectify people in the countries they travel to’. So what did he do? He started taking photos of locals all flipping the bird. Jolipunk has traveled through Jordan, Cuba, Peru, Turkey, and Bali, taking these pictures.

From capturing the most stoic men flipping us off, to fun-loving locals eager to give the finger, these photos make for both a hilarious and fascinating view.
