This man brings books to rural communities on his donkey via Biblioburro

Here’s a teacher on a mission! For more than ten years, Luis Soriano Bohorquez has been delivering books to children in rural parts of Colombia, all on the back of a donkey. He stores all the books in his own home – 3,480 in total – and carries 120 books at a time aboard his donkey for up to 11 kilometres. That’s an 8-hour roundtrip ontop of a donkey. As well as delivering books, Soriano Bohorquez also helps children with homework at the Biblioburro.
