Ever wondered what a real shark attack looks like?

Ever wondered if a shark attack is as terrifying as in Spielberg’s Jaws? Yes, and this guy and the video he filmed on his GoPro 3 can tell you all about it.

The creator of the video, Jason, was minding his own business, culling lion fish close to the Cayman Islands when a shark came charging at him from out of nowhere. As shown in the video, his screams are muffled as he swings at the shark with a tool that he – luckily – had in his hand from collecting lion fish earlier. He doesn’t get hurt but he sure gets a proper fright.

As he describes in the caption under the video: ‘It scared the crap out of me. The Cayman Islands is where I learned to dive and one of the best diving locations in the world. I love this place and will continue diving here for the rest of my life. In no way did this encounter discourage me from getting back into the water. The shark was acting in his natural environment. I have no ill will toward him and will get back in the water and continue to protect the reef from for future generations’.
