These two artists are living on a giant hamster wheel in Brooklyn

Ward Shelley and Alex Schweder are doing some rather interesting performance art this year. For ten days they’re living on a 25-foot giant hamster wheel in Brooklyn. And there’s no getting off, either!

They’ll be living, eating and sleeping here, both 180-degrees apart as to not break the perfect balance (this means ‘when one walks, the other must walk in the opposite direction’). Schweder says of the In Orbit project, ‘It’s really an exploration of what it means to collaborate. It’s an exploration of trust between two people’.
