Aussie penguins in rehab take to hipster jumpers

Ah, remember these Shetland ponies in hipster cardigans? Apparently these cute little penguin chaps living on Phillip Island have now taken to wooly hipster jumpers. Conservation group Penguin Movement has been putting on these jumpers on the fairy penguins to help rehabilitate post-oil spills/leaks as part of their Knits for Nature program.

The outfits keep the birds cosy and also stop them from cleaning away the toxic oil with their beaks. If you’re the crafty sort, you can help by donating one of your knits.
