Incredible nature-inspired tower block by Sou Fujimoto

Japanese architect Sou Fujimoto unveiled plans for a tower block that’s shaped like a pine cone, with balconies “sprouting outwards” in all directions. This particular design is part of a series of 12 buildings planned for the Post Marianne district of Montpellier, France. The 17-storey tower is being named Arbre Blanc (white tree) and will feature 120 apartments designed to fan outwards like ‘leaves seeking sunlight’.
