‘Scotch Tape’ is a photo series that captures the distorted expressions and features of people wrapped up in the transparent packaging material. Albuquerque-based commercial photographer Wes Naman came up with the novel concept while he was wrapping presents.

Soon after that light bulb moment, he invited friends and family to get a makeover using the office supply, transforming each of them into a freak in just under 10 minutes. They then posed in front of the camera, fashioning hilarious and terrifying faces not even a mother could love.

Biggest takeaway from this series: If you’re low on dough next Halloween, you now have an alternative costume to turn to.
