Here’s a tasty dessert that tree huggers and masochists will enjoy. Brooklyn-based baker Alana Jones-Mann has created cupcake replicas of cacti house plants, and she tells us how via this DIY article.

It’s quite easy, given you have the talent of a master baker. You just have to make the cupcakes, cover them in ‘sand’, and apply plenty of green frosting.

Obviously these cacti cupcakes won’t sting you like the real thing, but don’t forget to warn your guests about the hidden spike of doom/toothpick inside that keeps the dessert upright.
