Here’s a new trend: dining with dogs

Out with the dry food, in with the filet mignon! There’s a new trend going around and it’s all about feeding your pooch human food. And we’re not talking a scrap of meat here and there, we’re talking about households going out of their way to make an extra plate of food for the dog. Nutritionist and chef Gayle Pruitt wrote a cook book on the matter, Dog-Gone Good Cuisine: More Healthy, Fast, and Easy Recipes for You and Your Pooch.

You’ll find some delicious things in the book to share with Fido, too, like tomato-carrot soup, salmon florentine, curried beef sliders, and oven-fried chicken. Just as long as this trend doesn’t turn into fine dining restaurants for dogs, I’m fine with it.
