In a creative spin to aid cancer research by crowdsourcing, Cancer Research UK is appealing to the entertainment-starved instincts of mobile users to play its Genes In Space game. Specially designed for gamers to analyze huge amounts of real genetic cancer data while completing missions, gameplay data is fed back to cancer scientists at certain parts of the game, helping them to speed up their work in developing cancer treatments. Now that’s what we call good gameplay.
