Want: beautiful Star Wars rings from the late 90s

Japanese design studio J.A.P., created this collection of prototype Star Wars rings back in the late 90’s to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the beloved (and by ‘beloved’, I mean Hans Christian Andersen not included) franchise.

The rings include iconic characters like R2D2, Yoda, Darth Vader, Boba Fett, and Chewbacca. It’s cool they even included lesser known but equally great characters like a Rancor, Ackbar (IT’S A TRAP!), and Bib Fortuna. It boggles me though that they didn’t include Han Solo or even Luke Skywalker in the set, even though they included Jabba the Hutt – who’d want that bloated slug on their finger anyway?

Sadly, since the collection was made many years ago, they aren’t available anymore. I feel a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of voice suddenly cried out in terror…
