It’s not the apocalypse! It’s just London on Christmas Day

What were Londonders doing on Christmas day? Not out and about, that’s for sure. And photographer Corrado Chiozzi captured the eerie silences of London in his new photo series Silent London. From the London Museum to the banks of the Thames, this British city looks almost deserted from morning to afternoon as shops close for the day and the Tube and buses stop running.

Even Oxford Circus – a mad place to find yourself anytime of day – is hauntingly quiet. Maybe it’s really true what they say – that people make the place, because from these photos, it doesn’t look much like the London I know at all!
