Here’s a Kickstarter I can get behind. Developed by Future Motion, the Onewheel came about after the team dreamed of designing a hoverboard. Sadly technology doesn’t quite allow that yet, so they’ve come up with the Onewheel. It’s almost as technologically advanced, too.
The Onewheel equips solid-state inertial sensors and algorithms to balance the board around the wheel, and moves by the user moving forward. Want to turn? Press your heels or toes down. For now, the Onewheel can get up to 12mph (19km/hr) and runs on a 48V battery, full recharging within 20 minutes using a high-speed charger.
