Yes, the Mars Curiosity Rover is now a LEGO set

While the real Mars Science Laboratory, called Curiosity, is still on Mars, you could have your very own rover exploring the habitability of your home with this LEGO version of it. Designed by Stephen Pakbaz, an engineer who worked on the real Curiosity Rover, this LEGO model carries some of the high-tech features of the original.

It has multiple camera sets, a robotic arm, and a 6-wheel rocker-bogie suspension for traversing your kid’s sand box. It also comes with information about the history of exploration in Mars, plus a LEGO Martian rocks display!

Thought the real rover is as big as an SUV and has cooler features like scoops, drills, and an awesome rock-vaporizing infrared laser, the LEGO version hopes to inspire people to continue supporting space exploration.

The LEGO NASA Mars Science Laboratory Curiosity Rover can be purchased at the LEGO store.
