Canadian artist Winnie Truong knows a thing or two about good hair. Her wildly popular illustrations depict all sorts of characters being guarded, hiding out of fear and even showing off their impressive hairstyles. Using just crayon pencil on paper, Truong creates surreal images that both capture the imagination and enlighten us.

Who knew hair could make such a powerful impression on us? Truong’s work has featured all over, from The New York Times Magazine to European art galleries such as MondoPop Gallery in Rome and Gallery B15 in Copenhagen.
